A free modification for an alternate start in Fallout 4

Start Me Up is a free Fallout modification, which offers a revamped menu at the beginning of the Fallout game. After the bathroom scene, this Fallout mod gives three different start options. You wake up as a completely different person, and not as the parent of Shaun. With this modification, you can be a pre-war dweller. The modification gives access to an alternate plotline, where you get released from the vault by mistake.

Unlike Vanilla UI Plus and New California Mod, this mod download lets you select special stats and over 20 traits. You can even start the game as a wasterlander outside the vault. This Fallout modification allows you to choose from 38 occupations, including various factions affecting the starting gear. You can also start the game with different locations.

More than 800 voice and lip sync dialog edits

Start Me Up provides alternate, revamped, and quick-start options. Since this Fallout mod is minimally invasive, it doesn’t feature any confusing dialog edits. However, there are over 800 minor dialog edits with lip and voice sync. It’s worth mentioning that the modification has been primarily designed for people testing multiple mods for Fallout.

As mentioned earlier, this mod download makes more than 800 dialog edits in the game. Thus, you don’t need to play the ‘concerned or worried parent’ character. Those elements get replaced with lip and voice-synced lines from the rest of the game.

The dialogs vary depending on the start path you choose. There are two options. You can either choose the basic version of the mod or select the ‘Full Dialog Interface’ version.
